Homer Gene “Bud” Bates, brother of parishioner Beulah Brumlow, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, at home in Lexington. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

Our brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Owensboro could use our help as the western part of the state of Kentucky recovers from Friday's violent storms. The state of Kentucky experienced extreme weather events including a devastating tornado that resulted in a high number of fatalities and destruction in areas served by the Diocese of Owensboro including Mayfield and Bowling Green. A second collection will be taken today and next weekend for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Owensboro to offer help and services for those displaced or who have immediate needs as a result of the storms. Please be generous to support the emergency needs in our state and pray for those affected especially for the many lives lost. Thank you for your kind support.

Please continue to pray for the repose of the soul of Dcn. Frank Keller. Dcn. Frank's obituary is at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home's website. The visitation for Dcn. Frank Keller will be held Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service led by Dcn. Richard Abbey beginning 7 PM at 207 W. Oak Street in Nicholasville.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at noon at St. Luke with Fr. Nick Pagano presiding, with Fr. Aldrin and Fr. John Moriarty as concelebrants.  Dcn. Frank will be buried at Keene Cemetery.  Lunch will follow at about 2:30 PM in the church basement.
